Where it all began in 1959 …

The original Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe was opened in New Brighton, PA on November 29, 1959. The shoppe was the realization of a dream come true for two brothers – Victor and Francis Trevelline. Starting their own restaurant business, they began serving all-American hot dogs and French fries to local patrons. The restaurant quickly became a favorite and was a popular stomping ground for all age groups. The brothers continued to operate one location until 1968 when they opened their second shoppe in nearby Beaver Falls, PA. In 1975, the brothers hired Frank Papa to run the day-to-day operations and expand the business to multiple locations. In order to maintain the pledge of selling quality food products, Regis Luger came on board in 1992 to build and operate a commissary in Bridgewater, PA where our hot dogs and other menu items are made fresh daily. Today, the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe operates nine locations in Beaver, Lawrence, and Allegheny counties and employs more than 300 team members. Thanks to our patrons, our restaurants continue to thrive and grow. Through our commitment to excellence, we have become a legacy in our area and a well-respected member of the community we serve. We invite you to stop by one of our restaurants and sample our menu. Find out why everyone who leaves the area puts the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe at the top of their checklist of things to do when returning for a visit.
